MaDICS est un Groupement de Recherche (GDR) du CNRS créé en 2015. Il propose un écosystème pour promouvoir et animer des activités de recherche interdisciplinaires en Sciences des Données. Il est un forum d’échanges et d’accompagnement pour les acteurs scientifiques et non-scientifiques (industriels, médiatiques, culturels,…) confrontés aux problèmes du Big Data et des Sciences des données.

Les activités de MaDICS sont structurées à travers des Actions et Ateliers. Les Actions rassemblent les acteurs d’une thématique précise pendant une durée limitée (entre deux et quatre ans). La création d’une Action est précédée par un ou plusieurs Ateliers qui permettent de consolider les thématiques et les objectifs de l’action à venir.
Le site de MaDICS propose plusieurs outils de support et de communication ouverts à la communauté concernée par les Sciences des Données:
- Manifestations MaDICS : Le GDR MaDICS labellise des Manifestations comme des conférences, workshops ou écoles d’été. Toute demande de labellisation est évaluée par le Comité de Direction du GDR. Une labellisation rend possible un soutien financier pour les jeunes chercheuses et chercheurs. Une labellisation peut aussi être accompagnée d’une demande de soutien financier pour des missions d’intervenants ou de participants à la manifestation.

The GRADES-NDA workshop explores the challenges, application areas, and usage scenarios of managing large-scale graph-shaped data. It provides a forum for exchanging ideas on mining, querying, and learning from real-world network data, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and sharing datasets and benchmarks.
GRADES-NDA brings together researchers from academia, industry, and government to discuss advances in large-scale graph data management and analytics. Its scope covers domain-specific challenges, noise handling in real-world graphs, and innovations in databases, data mining, machine learning, data streaming, network science, and graph algorithms. Case studies across diverse areas are welcome, including Social Networks, Business Analytics, Healthcare, and Cybersecurity.

Introduction
Autonomous Machine Intelligence represents a fundamental shift in artificial intelligence, moving beyond narrow task-specific systems toward machines capable of understanding, learning, and acting in complex real-world environments with minimal human supervision. SSFAM (Société Savante Française d’Apprentissage Machine) and AFRIF (Association Française pour la Reconnaissance et l’Interprétation des Formes) are jointly organizing the CAp (Conférence sur l’Apprentissage automatique) and RFIAP (Reconnaissance des Formes, Image, Apprentissage et Perception) conferences, which will take place on July 6-8 2026 at the Université de Montpellier, Faculté des Sciences. These two communities share many common research challenges, and we expect that this co-location will foster highly productive discussions. While the conferences maintain separate submission processes, several joint sessions are planned.
CAp is France’s annual gathering of researchers in machine learning and related fields. Its primary goal is to showcase recently accepted or ongoing research of international quality, giving researchers (in particular PhD students and postdocs) the opportunity to present their work and expand their professional network in a positive and welcoming environment.

La conférence internationale ADBIS (Advances in Databases and Information Systems) est un événement scientifique de premier plan dans le domaine des bases de données, des systèmes d’information et de la science des données. Depuis plus de trente ans, elle offre une plateforme internationale où chercheurs, ingénieurs et praticiens présentent des résultats de pointe, couvrant des thématiques allant de la théorie des bases de données et de la gestion de l’information jusqu’aux applications avancées en intelligence artificielle et en apprentissage automatique. Selon les éditions, elle attire entre 70 et 110 participants, venant principalement d’Europe mais avec des participants venant du monde entier. Elle se déroule sur 4 jours et comprends des ateliers, des tutoriaux, des sessions plénières, des réunions.
Les contributions de recherche originales qui seront présentées porteront principalement sur les tâches fondamentales de la gestion et de l’analyse des données, ainsi que sur les techniques et technologies dans les domaines suivants :
• Systèmes de gestion de bases de données
• Architectures de systèmes d’information et services de données
• Gestion et fouille de données hétérogènes
• Gestion et analyse des données massives (Big Data)
• Science des données à grande échelle
• Science des données responsable
L’édition 2026, qui aura lieu à l’Hôtel Dupanloup à Orléans du 28/09/2026 au 01/10/2026, réunira à nouveau une communauté scientifique internationale, favorisant le dialogue entre chercheurs européens et d’autres régions du monde. Le programme comprendra des sessions techniques sélectionnées par un comité de programme international reconnu, des conférences invitées et des tutoriels donnés par des experts de renommée mondiale, des ateliers et une école d’été. Une récompense pour la contribution ayant eu un impact durable toutes années confondues (test-of-time award) sera également décernée, afin de célébrer la trentième édition de la conférence.
Au-delà de son rôle scientifique, la conférence s’engage pour la diversité, l’équité et l’inclusion (DEI), et met en place des actions concrètes de soutien aux participants (par exemple garde d’enfants sur place en 2025). En renforçant les échanges interdisciplinaires et internationaux, ADBIS contribue activement au développement de solutions innovantes pour la gestion et l’exploitation des données à grande échelle, dans un contexte où ces enjeux sont au cœur des transformations sociétales et économiques.
Les présentations scientifiques sont sélectionnées sur la base d’un processus rigoureux d’évaluation par les pairs. Les actes de la conférence sont publiés chez Springer Nature, et les meilleures contributions seront invitées pour des numéros spéciaux de revues internationales de premier plan.

Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer le lancement d’une action IA dans le cadre du PPR Océan & Climat (https://www.ocean-climat.fr/). Cette action nationale vise à soutenir le développement de solutions nativement IA pour la modélisation, la prévision et l’observation des océans.
Suivant une démarche inspirée des avancées récentes pour la prévision météorologique court-terme, la première phase (octobre 2024-septembre 2025) visera via un appel à propositions à définir de manière collaborative des “data challenges” dont la mise en oeuvre (e.g., jeux de données, cadre d’évaluation) bénéficiera du soutien du PPR en termes d’ingénierie support. La deuxième phase (septembre 2025-décembre 2027) s’appuiera sur la sélection de 8 à 9 postdoctorats de deux ans pour laquelle un appel sera ouvert début 2025.
