Postdoctoral Position – EEG, AI & Neonatal Brain Development
We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to investigate early brain development in preterm infants using EEG and artificial intelligence at Picardie Jules Verne University, Amiens, France.
The project aims to develop AI-based models of cerebral maturation during the second and third trimesters of gestation, using one of the world’s largest neonatal EEG datasets (>15,000 recordings collected at Amiens University Hospital, France).
The project combines:
• Large-scale EEG analysis and phenotyping
• Machine learning / AI modeling of developmental trajectories
The goal is to build interpretable, scalable tools for evaluation of brain maturation in preterm neonates.
The project is conducted under the co-supervision of Prof. Sahar Moghimi (GRAMFC- Inserm UMR1105) and Prof. Florence Levé (MIS, UPJV), within GRAMFC (Inserm UMR1105, Amiens).

Submission deadline: June 15th, 2026
Start date: September 2026
Location: Amiens, France
Duration: 12 months
Salary: According to University standards (depending on experience)

Applications including a CV with up-to-date list of publications, a motivation letter, and the contact information of two referees, should be send to sahar.moghimi@u-picardie.fr and florence.leve@u-picardie.fr
