Contexte :
CNRS competition section 7 (Information sciences: Image and signal processing, computer graphics and vision, embedded systems and systems on chips, robotics, automatic control, human machine interaction, speech and language processing )

In order to promote interdisciplinarity, the INSIS department (the CNRS department on which the Pprime Institute depends) has decided to open a CRCN researcher position on the subject “Artificial Intelligence for Engineering” in a list of Laboratories whose the Pprime Institute is part of.

Sujet :
In this context, I am looking for an expert in artificial intelligence wishing to develop a research activity on “machine learning for fluid mechanics and heat transfer”. We are currently working in the group on control by Reinforcement Learning and on the identification of dynamical models by Bayesian inference. Beyond, I am open to any proposal on this theme.

Profil du candidat :
The candidate must have a fundamental sensitivity, allowing him/her to develop a numerical or theoretical approach, combined with a pronounced taste for applications. The recruitment process will be made by the section 7 of the CNRS without any input from the section 10 (Fluid and reactive media: transport, transfer and transformation processes). The candidate will be recruited at Institut Pprime (Poitiers) that belongs to the INSIS department of the CNRS. The proposed project should deal with control of turbulent flows and/or thermal transfers.

Formation et compétences requises :
Highly qualified in Machine Learning with a good academic profile and the desire to be interested in applications related to the fields of transport and energy.
