Contexte :
In collaboration with the LPPL, we have developed and tested a new embodied and immersive environment for assessing prospective memory. This environment is based on a learning task in which users must remember event- and time-based actions, in order to complete tasks in a large shopping mall.
Last year, a first experiment enabled us to collect user behavioral data from around 50 participants in 3 age categories (young adults, middle-aged, seniors) in this virtual environment. Classical memory scores (e.g., successes, type of failures, times…) were computed to assess the validity of this new virtual environment for evaluating prospective memory. We have designed a second experiment with two additional scenarios in the virtual mall and will test it this year with healthy participants and patients.
A key advantage of using virtual reality for neuropsychological assessment is the ability to use users’ behaviour, from user logs and trajectory data, to personally and accurately characterize users’ performance and cognitive state. A key challenge towards this goal is defining new indicators or metrics that are useful for clinicians and integrating them into clinician dashboards. The complex nature of the behavioral data and the limited number of subjects currently available makes modeling difficult.
Sujet :
The objective of this internship is to develop and assess a framework based on multimodal generative AI models that can visualize and model this behavioral data in order to propose new indicators for clinical use.
