(Apologies for cross-posting)
Dear all,
SSFAM (Société Savante Française d’Apprentissage Machine) and AFRIF (Association Française pour la Reconnaissance et l’Interprétation des Formes) are jointly organizing the CAp (Conférence sur l’Apprentissage automatique) and RFIAP (Reconnaissance des Formes, Image, Apprentissage et Perception) conferences, which will take place on July 6-8 2026 at the Université de Montpellier, Faculté des Sciences. These two communities share many common research challenges, and we expect that this co-location will foster highly productive discussions. While the conferences maintain separate submission processes, several joint sessions are planned.
CAp is France’s annual gathering of researchers in machine learning and related fields. Its primary goal is to showcase recently accepted or ongoing research of international quality, giving researchers (in particular PhD students and postdocs) the opportunity to present their work and expand their professional network in a positive and welcoming environment.

Papers recently accepted (2025 or 2026) at major international conferences of the field (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AISTATS, etc). These papers should be submitted in their original conference format and will be automatically accepted at CAp after a simple verification that the paper’s topic fits the conference scope. Note: this year we will open a specific track to accommodate papers accepted at ICML 2026 (more details will be added later).
Long original papers (max 12 pages) and short original papers (max 8 pages). They will receive at least two reviews.
Submitted papers can be either in English or in French. There will be no proceedings. More information: https://caprfiap2026.sciencesconf.org/page/cfpcap
