Call for participation

The 21st International Symposium on Intelligent Data Analysis (IDA) will take place April 12-14, 2023 in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

Symposium on Intelligent Data Analysis (IDA 2023)

Advancing Intelligent Data Analysis requires novel, potentially game-changing ideas. IDA’s mission is to promote new ideas over performance: in the early stages of a new idea, a solid motivation can be as relevant as exhaustive empirical evaluation. IDA symposia have an open atmosphere that encourages discussion about ideas, and are intentionally small-scale and single-track.

The full details of the program can now be found on:

Full Program

Summarizing, the symposium will feature 4 invited talks:

– Francesco Bonchi (Centai): Fairness in ranking

– Sarah Cohen-Boulakia (Université Paris-Saclay): Ten years after the reproducibility crisis in bioinformatics: lessons learnt and research opportunities

– Barbara Hammer (Bielefeld University): Variable importance determination in a dynamic context

– Gaël Varoquaux (INRIA): Representation learning on relational data to automate data preparation

There will be 38 paper presentations, a PhD forum with contributions from 19 PhD students, and a social program.

IDA aims at being an accessible symposium by keeping the registration fees low. Moreover, it traditionally encourages students to participate in the symposium and therefore offers special students rates.
